 APRIL | 09th | 2011 ACÚSTICO - THE ACOUSTIC SESSIONS! "We are very excited to announce the release of our third full length album, "Acústico - The Acoustic Sessions". We are releasing the album today, April 9th, 2011. "Acústico - The Acoustic Sessions" features reworked versions of a variety of songs from our two previous albums, Mirror of Tears, and the most recently released, Poison Paradise, . It's the softer side of Hydria with re-arranged, slower versions of songs like "The Nymph", "Finally", and "The Place Where We Belong". Please note the album will only be available as a DIGITAL DOWNLOAD. No hard copies will be printed or sold.
As we have done with previous albums, we have decided to release our music free of charge on our website (purchase and pay if you like it), however, this time we have decided to do something a little different. We are extremely saddened by the events that have occurred in Japan especially after hearing first hand stories of the devastation from our Japanese label and friends. We wanted to find a way we could help. We concluded that for fans who decide to purchase the album, all of the proceeds made from sales between now and August 31st, 2011 will be donated directly to the International Red Cross to help aid with the crisis in Japan, or any other location that is in need. The album is available only as a digital download, which saves cost for everyone, helps make it possible to release in a timely manner, and allows more of the incoming money from sales to go directly to charity. All Brazilian fans who purchase the album directly through our website, will receive a letter personally signed by each band member as a thank you for your donation. Even if you are not a fan of our music, we encourage you to donate directly to the International Red Cross at http://www.icrc.org/ to help in this time of dire need. FEBRUARY | 14th | 2011 POISON PARADISE TO BE RELEASED IN JAPAN! We are proud to announce some very exciting news regarding the future of Hydria, so without further ado...
We have been approached for licensing in some countries and we have accepted one that is amazing! Hydria recently signed a licensing deal with Japanese label, SPINNING". Our second album, entitled "Poison Paradise" will be re-released in Japan with exclusive cover art and two very special unreleased bonus tracks, "Chasing Dreams" and "Face It All". We are very excited about taking this step forward in our careers, and we are especially grateful to our fans around the world who have brought us to where we are today. We hope this will be the first of many licensing agreements, as we expand our reach and share our music, our love, our passion with the world. We are looking forward to connecting with old and new fans in Japan. THE DAY HAS COME! "Hello everybody, Exactly two years have passed since the official release of our first album MIRROR OF TEARS. Since the beginning we have worked each day to turn our dreams into reality. Today, after a long time waiting, we're happy to announce the release of our second album, POISON PARADISE. It took almost a whole year to record and produce. We gave our best in every way to improve the sound quality, and we are very pleased with the final result. We believe that all the fans we've gained from our first album will be also really happy with it! As a way to reach out to new listeners as well as thank our fans who have followed us from the beginning for all the help, love, and patience, we'd like to share with you the downloadable link of POISON PARADISE in a free and legal way at our official website (www.hydria.com.br). With the download available, our fans will be able to listen to it before buying (if they want to do so), and the doors will be opened for new listeners who might come to know our work. In this day and age, it is impossible to avoid copyright infrigement! No one likes to buy something before knowing what it's really worth.
